Head Work

We have the facilities to completely rebuild your cylinder heads. We stock all high-performance cylinder head components including valve guides, valves, valve springs, retainers and more.

Port Work

We offer custom CNC duplication. Have a port that you like, or need one designed? We can digitalize it for you and repeat as often as needed. Proprietary modeling will remain exclusive to your cylinder head.

Engine Dyno

We dyno test all of our engine builds on our in-house Superflow engine dyno. It is also available for rental. Give us a call today to schedule!

After being in the automotive dealer business for 20+ years (and building race cars on the side), Jim Kuntz decided to live out his life long passion of “going fast” by starting Jim Kuntz Racing in 1983. As the business began to grow – he changed the name to Kuntz & Co as it is today.

Jim won countless championships in NHRA, NMCA, NMRA, NFCA, and Late Model Dirt Championships. He gave up competition racing in 1996, and dedicated his time fully on supporting his customers and friends.

In January 2019, Kuntz & Co. was acquired by Gwatney Performance but continues to operate as a stand-alone business doing what we do best – building some of the baddest engines around.
